Pension savings statements show the theoretical growth in your pension benefits over each tax year. A statement is produced automatically if the growth is more than the standard annual allowance, or if you request one ‘on demand’ — for example if you have a reduced allowance.

Please note that if I do not exceed the general annual allowance, please regard this as a request for an “on demand” statement. You can request the current year or a previously issued statement. Statements are only routinely produced in the October after the close of the tax year for those that exceed the general annual allowance (£60,000 in 23/24 & 24/25, £40,000 prior to this). However you may wish to request an “on demand” statement if you are at risk of tapering or wish to calculate your “headroom”.
